FORS 400th Practitioner achieved
The Fleet Operators Recognition Scheme (FORS) that issued the first Practitioner Certificate in January 2012, is pleased to announce that it has awarded its 400th Practitioner Certificate last week to Matt Eastwood, Logistics Manager at Glassolutions (part of the Saint-Gobain Group).
Matt said, “The Practitioner course has helped with my own personal development as a Logistics Manager. I have also used the structure of the course, with the nine separate modules to review the current procedures and processes in place within Glassolutions. The course allowed me to get a better understanding of FORS, its objectives and how I could use this knowledge to improve the operational efficiency, road safety and fuel economy within Glassolutions”.
The FORS Practitioner workshops are designed to address organisational culture as well as bridge the knowledge and skills gap for managers. The workshops have proved to be very popular since they were established and continue to sell out fast. In September 2015, FORS rolled out the workshop programme nationwide to encourage operators across the UK to engage and develop with the scheme.
• Keeping you up to date with industry developments and best practice in safe, green and efficient operations to help you to maintain and progress your FORS accreditation.
• Eight of the ten workshops are Driver CPC accredited, giving you the opportunity to receive 7 hours Driver CPC training by attending two FORS Practitioner Workshops on the same day.
All FORS operators have the opportunity to become a FORS practitioner with the FORS workshop programme. For more information about becoming a FORS practitioner,
