Fleet Source offer free Toolbox Talks for Brake’s Road Safety Week
Brake is a road safety charity that works to prevent road death and injury, make streets and communities safer and supports the victims of road crashes.
As part of their annual Road Safety Week, Brake aims to inspire thousands of schools, organisations and communities to take action on road safety and promote life-saving messages during the Week and beyond. It also provides a focal point for professionals working in road safety to boost awareness and engagement in their work.
As a training provider that focuses on safety in a number of training courses delivered to commercial drivers, Fleet Source aims to raise awareness of Road Safety Week to demonstrate to drivers how they can be more aware of their driving behaviors and vehicles to prevent and reduce risks of incidents.
This year, Fleet Source will be giving drivers and Managers a free Toolbox Talk training sheet every day of Road Safety Week. A Toolbox Talk is an informal safety meeting that focuses on safety topics related to the specific job, such as workplace hazards and safe work practices. Meetings are normally short in duration and are generally conducted at the job site prior to the commencement of a job or work shift. This is particularly applicable to drivers of commercial vehicles.
The subjects of the Toolbox Talks training sheets will be different each day and will relate to a drivers activity around using their vehicle for work and how to ensure they carry out their daily activities as safely as possible, focusing on road safety.
Fleet Source will also be fundraising for Brake as part of the Road Safety Week.
