ON THE 22ND MARCH 2017 AT 2.40PM A RENTED 4×4 VEHICLE, DRIVEN AT AROUND 76 MILES PER HOUR, PLOUGHED INTO PEDESTRIANS AS IT MOUNTED THE PAVEMENT ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE WESTMINSTER BRIDGE, CAUSING MULTIPLE CASUALTIES. THE PERPETRATOR, KHALID MASOOD WAS SUBSEQUENTLY SHOT DEAD INSIDE PARLIAMENT SQUARE.The attack from start to finish lasted just 82 seconds.
