02 Jan Fleet Source’s Work Related Road Risk CPC course offers an alternative for FORS e-learning
Transport operators can now cover their FORS e-learning requirements and gain CPC hours simultaneously. The Fleet Source’s Work Related Road Risk CPC course is an approved FORS e-learning module and can contribute to the FORS requirements necessary to retain accreditation.
As part of the FORS Silver requirement, fleet operators must demonstrate that their drivers are committed to protecting vulnerable road users. This means that operator’s training plans must include not only an on-cycle feature, but an e-learning element also. Alongside this, all commercial lorry, bus or coach drivers must complete 35 hours of periodic training every 5 years to keep their Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
Transport operators can often find operational difficulties when planning their Driver CPC training, especially with the 2019 CPC deadline fast approaching. E-learning requirements can add further demands to an already busy workforce. The Fleet Source Work Related Road Risk (WRRR) CPC course is JAUPT Approved for 7 hours DCPC, whilst also being an approved FORS e-learning module, allowing busy transport operations to get more out of their e-learning.
The Fleet Source Safe, Green and Efficient CPC Programme allows operators to mix a 3.5 hour Work Related Road Risk module with another CPC topic option. With this unique solution, transport operators can cover their FORS e-learning requirements, whilst having the option to add any additional CPC module from the below:
- Terrorism Risk and Incident Prevention (TRIP)
- Vehicle Safe Loading and Safe Loads
- Reducing Penalties and Infringements
- Fitness to Drive and Well-being
- O Licence Undertakings the Driver’s Role
- Vehicle Road-worthiness (HGV or PCV)
- Reducing Road Risk
- Safety in the Transport Environment (FORS Approved)
- Vulnerable Road Users in the 21st Century (FORS Approved)
- Understanding Drivers’ Hours and Tachographs
Please note that this training is suitable for companies that operate a fleet of 20 or more drivers.
